Guest Speaker: Dr. Paul Lee, MD Winthrop University Hospital International Adoption Program

Exposure to prenatal substance abuse and effects will be discussed. Is this typical behavior or an adoption issue? What do internationally adopted children have in common and what medical and developmental concerns should one be aware of when adopting domestically? Attendees will gain an understanding of possible health related concerns and leave with less apprehension.

TEEN/YOUNG ADULT PANEL
Moderated by: APC Adult Adoptees
Your child will grow into an adult adoptee in an environment shaped by you and those around you. What adoption issues might s/he experience? How will the world react to him or her having been adopted? What role might adoption play in their life choices? This is a heartwarming and immensely educational opportunity to truly learn about the affects of adoption by listening to the stories of young adult adoptees and asking key questions.
