ROOM:

Main Building
Time: 7:00 PM
Now starting at our new time, 7:00 pm
General Meeting Starts at 7:00PM with our pre-meeting workshops, including the Parenting Workshop with psychologist Anne Maleve, the always popular Waiting Workshop and of course our Orientation for all newcomers.
General Meeting - Main Topic
Finanical Planning through Adoption
Financial planning/budgeting throughout the various stages of the adoption process will be discussed. If you are just entering the adoption process, people will want to know how to build money for the fees they’ll have to pay and how to budget and save accordingly. The need to plan financially for advertising, travel budgets and many other factors from pre adopt to college tuition are all very important. You can pay a lot of money to listen to a financial planner or come to APC and get some very important information for free.
Waiting Workshop
This is the place for anyone in the Adoption process who is awaiting a situation to discuss their experiences.
Orientation
New to APC? This is the place to learn what APC is all about. What can we do for you? How can we help you make your dream of adopting a child come true? Who are we and why do we spend our Saturday nights once a month volunteering for a non-profit organization?
Anne Malavé, Ph.D.
Licensed clinical psychologist
Parenting workshop, run by licensed, clinical psychologist, Anne Malavé, Ph.D.
Talking to children about how they can talk with other people about adoption…Please come and join our monthly, drop-in, interactive parenting workshop, run by licensed, clinical psychologist Anne Malavé, Ph.D. Our community is growing, as more parents participate, sharing their experiences and learning from each other in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. As one APC workshop member says: “Come and join in, because post-adoption is a lot longer than pre-!”
