New York City General Meetings

Next meeting September 25th at the VA Hospital Saturday, September 25th, 2010 at the VA Hospital, 9th floor First Avenue and East 23rd Street, NY NY Doors open at 7pm 7pm -8pm Preadoption networking, and post adoption roundtable. Come and discuss your concerns and issues in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. 8:15 pm PreAdopt Workshop: "She changed her mind!" Picking Up the Pieces and Making Your Dreams Come True". A Panel of Happy Families-- Hear a panel of adoptive families talk about their journeys- joys and disappointments, how they coped and finally brought home their babies. 8:15 pm Post Adopt Workshop: Talking to Children About Adoption- Learn how to help children talk about their concerns and answer their questions about adoption. Learn how parents and teachers can work together to help children with their self esteem and sense of identity. Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome.
